ABOUT THE ART AND ARTIST
Digital art is a new and evolving art form. The advent of computer technology and sophisticated software has made available many new possibilities for artistic expression. Duane incorporates many of the techniques of the traditional brush artist combined with the tools and capabilities available with digital technology to create his artworks. He has been a serious photographer for over 15 years and has worked with computers for more than thirty. His art has received many awards in numerous shows and completions. His work has been displayed in galleries, museums, businesses and is a part of many private collections. His work has also been chosen for the cover of several phonebooks. He is an expert at restoring old or damaged photographs, restoring some dating back to the civil war. See the photo restorations in Duane's members page for examples. Upon request he will also do specialized portrait work. His focus is on capturing the personality and emotions of the subject, not just the image and transforming that into a fine work of art.

“Digital art is continually evolving and I continue to grow and develop as an artist. I strive to create art that brings to the viewer a pleasant thought, or memory that in someway brightens their day.”

DIGITAL ART IS UNIQUE
All digital art is a print of some type. This has some distinct advantages for the buyer. In that multiple prints can be made the compensation to the artist can be divided over several prints and thus more economical to own. Prints are made one at a time as needed. Each print is numbered consecutively and personally signed by the artist. Each is treated with a fixing agent and a UV protector so they will resist moisture and fading. Only a very limited number of prints will be made of each artwork and it will not be mass produced. You may choose the paper type and size you desire. Prints come in three standard sizes, 8x10, 11x14, 12x16. Non-standard and larger prints are available upon request.. Paper types are gloss photo, best for bright vivid colors, matt photo paper for good color without the sheen, and a textured fine art paper for a softer look with greater longevity.
